Detailed Analysis- Coca-Cola:

In this Coca-Cola advert there’s been more than one convention used such as Colour palette, target audience and main image so that the product appeals to ‘Rock stars’. The convention been used in this Coca-Cola advert is the main image I would describe it as a Coca-Cola shaped bottle designed with images of iconic stars with the original logo ‘Coca-Cola’ in the middle which I think it quite stands out with the choice of colour palate. It would appeal to classical people, who were teenagers during this time because the 1950’s, 70’s was the time they most enjoyed with Marylyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, The beetles And Audrey Hepburn. ‘Coca-Cola’ is a worldwide drink so it is classical itself.

The product being advertised tells us that the drink has been around classical it is a classic drink and it will still be classical through all the time. We know this because of the slogan, ‘A classic never goes out of style’ We feel proud about the company and product because it’s managed to stay popular thought out all this time and its well well known drink and most people love an ice cold glass of it on a hot sunny day or after a long days shift at work. The Company and product make me feel like what their producing for us isn’t a waste of time they actually put a lot of effort and thinking into what they recon will be a popular and nice drink in order for it to start coming popular and keep their good reputation we know this because of the use of the hand written font.

The Logo is placed in the middle so that the audience can see it and it isn’t over powered by the iconic images it’s also placed on the bottle with the images so it can show its iconic itself. The slogan is black so it represents it never goes out of fashion due to the people that are presented in the images for example a black dress will always go with something and never go out of fashion so therefore the slogan wont.

  1. Great work, you have identified and described the conventions and started to explain some key information about the target audience.

Target - analyse key details and explain what these precise details tell you about the target audience in terms of age, gender, social class and their osychographic profiles.

    P+

PS please include a picture of the advert, thanks.
